Book Review – EntreLeadership, by Dave Ramsey

Overview:

If you’re a fan of the Dave Ramsey show, or read any of his other books, you’ll want to check out EntreLeadership, a must read for anyone who aims to take on a leadership role in a small company, or be an entrepreneur.

Here is what the book is about:

Dave takes you through his framework for business success, and each chapter covers a business concept with personal stories from the Ramsey businesses for color commentary. For example, one chapter discusses product life cycles, marketing fundamentals, and the importance of building relationships with customers rather than focusing solely on sales. The human resources chapter talks about hiring, managing, and retaining talented employees. Ramsey provides guidance on the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to firing. The book wouldn’t be complete without talking about financial management and strategic planning. In these chapters, Dave offers solid advice on managing business finances and the importance of clear communication and strategic planning in achieving business goals.

Rating (1 to 5):

Solid 4 based on the engaging content, and practical financial advice about grinding it out rather than taking out huge loans.

Other thoughts:

Its not often you read a business book that talks about the power of God. If you know Dave, then you know how spiritual he is. Also, Dave’s style is very conversational and I often could hear his voice speaking the words. A must read for anyone who is a fan of the Ramsey show.
