The Last Folk Hero, Life of Bo Jackson, by Jeff Pearlman

Overview:

American pro football, and baseball fans know Bo, those of us who grew up in the late 80s know Bo, Nike sneaker heads know Bo; but who is he really? Jeff Pearlman knows, and after reading his book you will too.

Here Is What The Book Was About:

The book covers the life and myths of the great athlete. Jeff did a ton of research, interviewing over 700 people from the great athletes life. Interviews cut across a broad range including family members, friends, ex-girlfriends, team mates from both sports, as well as high school and college coaches.

Rating: (1 to 5)

Solid 4.3 based on the authors great story telling ability and comprehensive body of research. As with most of Jeff’s book, this one was very well written.

Other Thoughts on The Book:

Bo truly did some amazing and remarkable things, which build the mythology of the man. One would expect to find that a book like this would analyze those great feats and dissect them to the point where its no longer interesting. That is not the case however with this book.
